Network address Translation is an easy concept that sounds complicated. RFC 1918 IPs are not routable on the Internet. So how does your private IP get you to the Internet. This is done by NAT. There’s 1 to 1 NAT meaning 1 private IP address will be translated to 1 IP. There’s many-to-one NAT where many private IPs where share the same public IP address.
